To be eligible for a make-up class, you must be currently enrolled, your fees must be up to date and absences must be recorded in advance through the Tiny Toes Ballet App available on the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

Make up classes must be of the same class type paid for and must be booked via the Parent Portal. Replacement classes can be scheduled for any day and at any location and are subject to availability. Class Cancellation or Amendment

Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, we may need to cancel a class with short notice. In the event of a class cancellation by us, we will offer you a make up class as per our missed classes policy. In the unlikely event that a make up class cannot be arranged, a credit will be issued for a future class.

In certain circumstances, we may need to cancel a class permanently based on customer demand. Under these circumstances, we will first offer to transfer you to another class. If this isn’t suitable, a refund of the remaining classes will be issued.

We may also have to amend class timetables, class locations, our price structure or substitute teachers. When this occurs, you agree that you will not be offered a credit or refund for any amendment. Instead, we will offer you the option of a make up class on these occasions.

Withdrawal Process

As per our annual enrolment policy, your enrolment will continue until the end of the calendar year with automatic renewal each term. Fees reflect our commitment to provide suitable dance spaces, teachers and resources so that your child has the best possible experience at our classes. Child Protection and Safety

Tiny Toes Ballet follows the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations as well as Working With Children Checks, Child Employment Acts and Mandatory Reporting. Our staff have a legal obligation to protect children in their care and may report actions that seem harmful to the relevant authorities. All of our staff hold a valid Working with Children certificate.

Class Arrival, Dismissal and Supervision

Children are the responsibility of their parent or carer before and after class. Teacher supervision only applies to children during a lesson. Please ensure that your child is acknowledged by a teacher when dropping off. When picking up, child safety is one of our highest priorities, so please allow our teachers to safely dismiss your child before approaching them and leaving. Teachers are not responsible for supervision after a class ends, so please arrive on time to collect your child.

Medication and Emergency Procedures

For children with anaphylaxis or medical requirements, you agree to remain in the vicinity of the class as our staff are not equipped to administer medication, Epipens, Anapens or first aid. In the event of a medical emergency, your class teacher will call you and seek medical attention or call an ambulance if required. You agree that any costs associated with this will be at your expense. You agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that your mobile phone number is kept up to date at all times.

Consent and Liability

Any dance class or performance can involve risk or personal injury. You acknowledge that while we take all reasonable care in the conduct of our classes and at events, we accept no responsibility for injury or loss caused. You are responsible for ensuring that your child is physically and medically fit to dance and must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, disabilities or allergies affecting your child upon enrolment and inform us immediately if there is any change.

As dance is a physical activity, our teachers may have to use contact to assist your child to understand an action, posture or position e.g. holding hands in a circle, correcting posture etc. To avoid slipping, ballet shoes are the only appropriate footwear in class. No other footwear is allowed.

If your child needs to go to the toilet during class time and you are not on the premises, you agree that a teacher or if a teacher is unavailable, another parent may take your child to the toilet. Parents are welcome to stay on-site (outside the teaching space) if they would prefer to toilet their own child.

You agree to the release of liability of Tiny Toes Ballet and its employees for any and all injuries caused by participation in a class or at an event whether or not such injury was caused by alleged negligence.

Photography and Videography

You agree to provide your express consent for Tiny Toes Ballet employees to photograph and video your child during class time and at events. You also agree to provide your consent and release for our staff to share photos and videos on our social media pages, website or any other forms of advertisement.

At Tiny Toes Ballet, parents, family and friends are invited into the teaching space at various times throughout the year to view their child’s/children’s class and into every Dance with Me class. Examples of classes and events include, but are not limited to, Mother’s Day, Book Week, End of Year Concert, Father’s Day, Watching Weeks etc.

Parents and/or carers are advised that they are only requested to take photos and videos of their child. However, please be advised that while we urge parents to comply with only distributing photos and videos of their own child, we cannot actively monitor adherence to this guideline. Distributing or posting photographs or videos by third parties to social media sites containing images of persons other than that of their own child is prohibited. You acknowledge that your child or children may be in the background of such photos and videos and agree to release Tiny Toes Ballet of any liability.

It is at the sole discretion of the class teacher whether parents are permitted to enter the teaching space for the purpose of taking photos or videos during no viewing classes. The teachers decision is final and Tiny Toes Ballet cannot be held responsible for an individual employees decision.

General Consent

By enrolling your child into any of our classes at Tiny Toes Ballet, regardless of whether these terms and conditions have been signed, you hereby provide your express consent for our team to photograph and take videos of your child/ren and to upload such photos or videos on our social media pages. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, we regret that we are unable to enroll your child.
