who wants your kids to love dance as much as she does?
We’d like to tell you about our dance teacher, the marvellous Miss Jo. Miss Jo started dancing when she was five years old and can’t imagine dance not being in her life. Miss Jo loves teaching your kids to dance and awakening in them a love of movement and music. To Miss Jo, the happiness she feels while she’s dancing is the best feeling in the world. She wants your little ones to feel this too.
miss jo is an amazing teacher and a dancer too
Miss Jo doesn’t just teach dance, she’s pretty good at it herself. She was one of only six people chosen to spend a week in Melbourne at The Australian Ballet. This was a huge adventure for Miss Jo and a huge honour too. Her dedication and talent as a dancer saw her selected from a huge number of applicants. We’re extremely lucky to have her as a teacher.
miss jo’s adventures in melbourne
Part of the week included watching the Australian Ballet members dance Nijinsky, a ballet developed in honour of the famous and troubled Russian ballet dancer. Miss Jo loved watching the dancers warm up and perform up close. ‘Nothing short of amazing’ in Miss Jo’s words. She went on a tour of the Ballet’s headquarters, visiting the costume department, the shoe room (there’s a shoe room!) and the business areas too.
Miss Jo understands how hard a professional dancer must work. She’s completely dedicated to her dreams of being a dancer and equally dedicated to teaching your little ones.
your child will learn from a passionate dancer
Sending your beautiful little dancers along to Miss Jo will expose them to a dance teacher who lives and breathes dance. Someone who has met members of the Australian Ballet and watched rehearsals and performances. She’s even helped create props for the Australian Ballet’s Storytime Ballet: ‘The Nutcracker’.
Miss Jo knows a love of dance starts with the first experience and looks forward to encouraging your little ones as they learn the basics of dance.
miss jo inspires us (and her students) every day
Do you think a teacher like Miss Jo will inspire your little dancer? She’s energetic, enthusiastic and committed. The kids love her and she loves them.
